Want More?

Are you seeking a richer, more rewarding life? Looking for “real-world” insight and inspiration from someone very much like you? A dreamer and doer, Delores Crum is living the ideal life – a life that she and her family crafted from “nothing”. Nothing that you don’t have! The attitudes and behavior that have enabled Delores and her family to live successfully, by their own definition, are yours for the taking.

Choose.

We all have choices. What seems like a lifetime ago, Delores had a choice too – “make do” with a comfortable, unremarkable existence or envision and achieve an abundant, joyful life. Delores chose the latter, and is living the ideal life she envisioned. Along her life journey, Delores has endured the same struggles, battled the same insecurities, faced the same issues and experienced the same challenges that you do. But Delores learned that persistence pays – and so will you. Delores knows that the choices made have consequences – and you know that too.

Be Clear.

You have an ideal life vision too. And if you don’t, or if your vision is a little cloudy, take that first step and create that crystal clear “ideal life” mental picture. That’s where it all starts. The details will come later. Embrace the dream. Norman Vincent Peale said “Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars.”

It’s Simple.

The simple strategies that have worked for the Crum family, both personally and professionally, can work for you and your family too. They can help transform the life you may be settling for into the life that fulfills your fondest hopes and achieves your most ambitious goals. Delores Crum’s “How To” Guide lays out a roadmap for getting from where you are to where you want to be.

Because, in the end, “The purpose of life is not to be happy, It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it made some difference that you have lived and lived well.” Ralph Waldo Emmerson . . . echoed by Delores Crum.

Live Well my Friends.

I Love Work

I love work – it’s my thing. Next to family, productive, meaningful work is my greatest joy. An unrepentant workaholic, I’m type AAA. I subscribe to Kahlil Gibran’s view that “work is love made visible”. And so, when many my age and in my economic circumstances are “retired”, I plan to rest when I’m dead.

Eleanor Roosevelt declared “the purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for new and richer experience.” It’s those new experiences that keep me interested in the work that I do, and leave me thirsting for more.

I’ve Only Had One Job

While I’ve labored in many different fields and made a living in a variety of ways, I’ve only had one “job” – to make the most of every day. To be the best and do my best – to expect the best and give my best. I work to make life better for others – for those who are close and whom I hold dear, for those whose paths I cross from day to day and for those I can somehow aid, but will never meet.

    Worth the Read!

I gravitate to books that will allow me to make adjustments to my daily schedule while trying to be the best version of myself. I am not a daily book reader (due to my schedule) and therefore, I am a bit sheepish when books are recommended to me. Most books tend to require dedicated chunks of time which often do not seem possible in my world. Simple Success Strategies is not only an easy read, it can be read when you have minutes to dedicate to reading. When I first read the "PPPEEEZ formula" as it was written, I said it in the tone of a sweet toddler wanting a snack. It does not need to be read in one sitting. In fact, it is best to read in little pieces and allow the words to marinate in your head. I often refer back to particular sections for reminders and thus continuing to use it is as a resource book. The author did an incredible job layering the complexities of life into basic concepts that are easily attainable by the reader. Do yourself a favor and dive into the PPPEEEZ formula for life.

Great words to help focus on goals and personal success

What a great read! I loved all the references, quotes, and the author's overall message about success and defining what that can mean for each of us. I'll never look at a PEZ candy the same way!

  • These success strategies are simple to process and implement in your daily life.

It’s as if Delores sat in on every motivational seminar I’ve sat in and read every motivational book I’ve read and put it into one book. It’s filled with great quotes I hope to remember. You can get a nugget by just reading a paragraph a day and chewing on it. It’s an easy read and one we should all consider rereading on an annual basis!

    Food for Thought!

Loved this book! Delores is such a thoughtful writer and forward thinker. I have often wondered, "Why don't we learn more from other's mistakes; why do we often have to make them ourselves to digest the lesson?" and Delores reminds us "You can use the human proclivity to embrace expert advice and authoritative opinion to your advantage in every adult role you choose to play." The topics on building emotional intelligence were a gut punch --- I carry quite a few of the behaviors of one with a low EQ, yet tone and wisdom of the book offer hope for growth, and reminders to be true to the self. The book is full of great resources & quotes from other great names (from old world thinkers to folks like Demi Levato), and as an entrepreneur myself, I loved many of the connections to running a business and leadership. Now I just need help because I like to set the rules, and then break them myself! I appreciated the section on age, loved the stories about 90 year old Mary working in the showroom, and the prodding to get outside of my head, think long term, and think about my age and ask the tough questions of what I would change, what would bring me joy and what does successful living look like. I can't to read this book again and share with my team the PPPEEEZ's!
